1081 is a heavyweight, plain weave fabric with a Korspun yarn. The yarn contains a higher content glass core than 1081 with an aramid wrap. The glass provides thermal stability and the aramid gives it mechanical resistance. It gives excellent protection in protective clothing against moderate metal splash. |
